Recently, my parents just got a letter from Majlis Perbandaran Manjung, a local council (Municipal Council) from Perak state. Now is the time to pay the Cukai Taksiran 2012 (Penggal Kedua).
If we own a house or shop house in Malaysia, we have to pay Cukai Taksiran, a local council tax every year. We can pay once a year or twice a year depends to our convenience.
Previously, we can only pay the tax at the counter, and it was wasting a lot of time. Now, we can pay it online by using a credit card.
So, today I’m going to share how I pay tax on-line with OCBC Titanium Credit Card. I think other banks’ internet banking should be same method.
1. Login to your OCBC Internet Banking, click Bill Payment > To Non Registered Payee.
2. There are 3 columns: OCBC Facilities, Great Eastern and Billing Organizations. Click “Billing Organizations”. Select the “Majlis Perbandaran Manjung”.
3. After this, we key in the Account No and the amount, then click OK.
4. We will be requested to key in the OTP (One Time Password).
5. Once the website prompts up the sentence “Your request has been successfully accepted”. It’s mean we success pay the cukai taksiran bill online.
